School Fundraising

The generous contributions of our families and the community enable Montgomery Elementary to provide programs and supplies beyond those available through DeKalb County to improve our students’ educational experiences. 

Your donations support:

• Enhanced educational resources for the classroom 
• Additional classroom supplies and materials
• Technology and equipment purchases
• Music and arts programs
• Cultural arts and events, including Additional classroom supplies and materials
• Teacher and staff training and support
• Equipment and supplies for the school
• The Accelerated Reader program
• Campus beautification
• Teacher appreciation events

   

There are many opportunities to help our school raise funds!

Here are a few easy ways to help:

• PTO Enrichment and Annual Dues Donations — Once you've registered for an account on this website, you can make a tax-deductible contribution to the school's Enrichment Fund from THIS page. The PTO is FREE to join, but please donate if you are able! We ask that every family that is able donate $150 for each enrolled child, each year.
  
  

• Corporate Matches — If you work for a company that offers gift-matching, please provide us with your employer’s matching gift form to double your donation! Matching gifts are a quick and easy way to increase your contribution to the school. To set up a company match, please email Christina Joyner at treasurer@montgomerypta.com. All donations are tax deductible!

• Spirit Nights (throughout year) – Local businesses and restaurants give back a percentage of your purchase to Montgomery on Spirit Nights. Check out upcoming events here! 
  
  

• Kroger Community Rewards – Register your Kroger Plus Card so that a percentage of each purchase comes back to Montgomery. Enroll at kroger.com/i/community/community-rewards, log in with your Kroger Plus number, and search for Montgomery Elementary as your charity of choice. You must register your card again each school year. Our school code is KA974.

  

• Publix Partners – Publix has contributed $1,300 for our school in the past. Please remember to enter your phone number when checking out at Publix stores, they are no longer accepting the Publix Partners Card. If you haven't signed up yet, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to publix.com/myaccount
  2. Log in if you already have an account or sign up to create an account. Make sure you enter a phone number since you'll enter that at the store checkout.
  3. Within My Account, find the My Publix Partner tab.
  4. In the search box, type “Montgomery Elementary School PTA

  
  

• Mabel's Labels – Visit mabelslabels.com and select the "Support a Fundraiser" tab, then search for "Montgomery Elementary School (Brookhaven)"
  
  

  

• Office Depot – When making a purchase at Office Depot, let them know you would like to have the 5% Back to School added to your transaction. Our school code is #70024758. If you don’t have the number, they will be able to look it up.
  
  

• I9 Sports – Register your child for any i9 sports program and choose "Montgomery Elementary" when asked how you heard about the program. $10 from each registration will be donated to our school.
  
  

• Land’s End – When you place an order at landsend.com/schooluniform, use our Preferred School Number 900079245. Our Montgomery Mustang Logo code is 1021793K. A percentage of each sale is donated to Montgomery.

PTO Community Enrichment Donations

The PTO depends on the generosity of our families to provide day to day financial and volunteer resources to enrich the experience of our students.

If you are able to give, we ask for a suggested donation of $150* per student — 100% of which goes directly to the school!

Community enrichment donation benefits:

• 100% of your donated dollars go directly to MES
• Donations can easily be made online during PTO registration or by clicking the “Donate” button on our PTO website.
• Convenient opportunity for families to support our school
• Help MES meet the needs not supported by DeKalb County

These educational enhancements would not be possible without the generous funding from our MES families. If you work for a matching gift company, please provide us with your employer’s matching gift form. Matching gifts are a quick and easy way to increase your contribution to the school. Your support of Montgomery will directly benefit our children and our community!

Boosterthon Fun Run

The Boosterthon is our biggest fundraiser of the year! The 9-day experience raises funds for our school while promoting Fitness, Leadership, and Character for our kids. It culminates with the annual Fun Run event in which each grade level completes laps around the field. 

The 2023 fun run took place September 14th, 2023 and was a HUGE success! Thank you to the families, friends, neighbors, and businesses who supported our school.

Because of your contributions, we have been able to provide additional programs and supplies to improve our students’ educational experiences. The 2022-2023 fundraising dollars helped put turf on the field, support teacher trainings, beautify our campus, and support programming. Over the summer of 2023, we updated the Secret Garden outdoor classroom! Below is an update on some of the experiences and resources that your donations were used for in recent years to improve Montgomery:

• 2 in-house High Touch High Tech Programs for grades K-5 

• Atlanta History Center Social Studies Traveling Trunks

• Educational Resources for all grade levels, classrooms, and specials

• Additional classroom supplies and materials (classroom rugs, manipulatives, etc)

• Additional musical instruments

• Author and illustrator school visits

• STEM night, Fine Arts Night, parent events

• Campus Beautification

• Teacher Appreciation events
